Gutters over doors
This section will be redundant to new model owners as I think this now is part of the kit. However it wasn't when I bought my kit.
My doors have always leaked. Especially the rear door. They seem to leak more when standing in rain or washing the aircraft than flying through it but even that has gotten more pronounced in the last year or so.
Anyway, I had wondered what I could do about it till I saw a near new Jabiru and straight away noticed it had gutters over the doors. I phoned Jabiru and they sell them as an add on. I got them and eventually got round to adding them. At the same time I removed the old Jabiru door seals, which was never very good, and replaced it with some slow return foam strip from a local rubber shop.
I managed to fly through rain since and didn't get any water in the cabin. Washing the aircraft also failed to have any water enter the cabin.
